The Oswald Consulting mission is to help nonprofit and mission-driven organizations around the world increase their capacity to fundraise and measure the impact of their programs and services.
A global community where all members
- recognize their potential to help solve community and global challenges,
- have access to the skills, knowledge, and training necessary to achieve these goals,
- believe in their ability to make a difference, and
- have the opportunity to realize their purpose.
The Oswald Consulting Story
Oswald Consulting was launched in 2017 by Founder and CEO Kathryn Oswald. Oswald Consulting’s team of three provides nonprofit and social enterprise consulting, primarily in grants management, strategy, and program evaluation. The company is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but provides services globally.
As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served for two years in Uganda, I launched Oswald Consulting after finding little purpose or meaning in my professional life after Peace Corps service. While my work was satisfying in some ways, the office culture did not allow for the type of flexibility and creativity necessary for implementing programs that help solve global challenges.
I followed my passion, maximizing my impact by consulting with other nonprofits and social enterprises around the world, rather than launching one nonprofit organization that serves only one community or need.
At Oswald Consulting, we believe that everyone has something to contribute to the progress of humanity, from residents of the most remote corners of the world to the wealthiest philanthropists in the largest urban centers, and that even the biggest players in the nonprofit world can find ways to increase their impact. We believe that the best way to increase individual and collective impact is by sharing ideas, successes, and failures, and most importantly, by systematically measuring outcomes and impact. If you think that is beyond the reach of your organization, we disagree, and we can help you.
Oswald Consulting would love to partner with your organization to increase funding, staff capacity, and the overall impact on your community. When we partner with your organization, we believe in advancing your mission and we treat your organization and programs as if they are our own, nurturing them until they are sustainable. When you partner with Oswald Consulting, you become part of our family.
